Northumbria have both a men's and ladies teams.
2011 has seen the section improve with an influx of new players which has strengthened the section across both the male and female sections. There were three well attended training sessions held at Concordia Leisure Centre on the run up to the National Police Championships which were held over the weekend of the 9th-11th September 2011 in Bournemouth.
The mens team were knocked out of the main competition but dusted themselves down and eventually won the plate competition with 4 decisive victories out of 5 games and eventually finished up 6th out of 11 teams.
The ladies team also was knocked out of the main competition but also played strongly in the plate where they only lost out on countback in some matches.

2013 Volleyball Championships.
These will be held over the weekend of 7/8 September 2013 at the 5 Lakes Country Club in Essex.
